Recently a number of new renderings of 3 Civic Plaza were featured on BuzzBuzz Homes!
Some of the more compelling renderings feature the tower’s base and what the structure will look like from the street view looking up. It’s interesting to see renderings from this vantage point, as opposed to aerial views of the towers, because this is the perspective that people will experience daily walking through the plaza once the development is complete.
Other images feature the building’s fantastic amenities such as the yoga studio, concierge service and fitness centre. The article also highlights the private balconies that are part of almost all of the suites, and incredible views of Metro Vancouver that residents will be able to enjoy.

Century Group and Surrey City Development Corporation (SCDC) invited 3 Civic Plaza buyers to attend a special “behind the scenes” experience of Surrey’s new Civic Plaza last weekend. Purchasers were taken on a tour of the area and surrounding developments and also received a detailed overview of the Civic Plaza by Sean Hodgins, President of Century Group.
We were very happy with the turnout of the tours, as over 40 people attended. The tour took the future residents all over the Surrey City Centre area, highlighting the newly completed Surrey Memorial Hospital, the RCMP E Division and the Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre. Buyers were then taken on a guided walking tour of the Civic Plaza, which has yet to be opened to the public.
The walking tour began at the state of art City Centre Library and proceeded to Surrey’s new City Hall. One of the things that buyers enjoyed the most was the aerial site orientation from SCDC’s high rise offices, which are located at Central City Tower.
Guests were excited by all of the economic activity in the area and also about the Marriott Autograph Collection having been announced as the hotel partner for the project. When buyers arrived back at the 3 Civic Plaza Presentation Centre they enjoyed appetizers catered by Cuisine & Company and took advantage of the opportunity to get to know their future neighbours!

Finally, an opportunity to be ‘central to everything and be able to walk everywhere’ – something that has never been an option in Surrey, until now.
Alysha Hubbard had been looking for a home both near the SkyTrain and in Surrey’s emerging downtown core, so when she heard about 3 Civic Plaza, she was immediately interested. When she took her family to the 3 Civic Plaza Presentation Centre to show them the home she was interested in purchasing, she hoped they would like it, but never anticipated they’d like it enough to buy suites of their own!
What excited them about 3 Civic Plaza was that they could be central to everything and enjoy the ‘downtown’ lifestyle without having to leave the city where they grew up.
Alysha, her brother Gord and their parents Dave and Judy are now ALL proud owners at 3 Civic Plaza. From first-time home buyers to retirees looking to downsize, this building has something for everyone. Alysha and her brother decided on medium size 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suites and their parents chose a larger 2 bedroom plus den home.
Alysha and her brother were born and raised in Surrey and consider it home. What excited them about 3 Civic Plaza was that they could be central to everything and enjoy the ‘downtown’ lifestyle without having to leave the city where they grew up.
“We loved the design. This is the first time we’ve seen a design that has three different walls of windows.” Alysha can enjoy her expansive views from her kitchen and living area as well as from her bedroom, which is something she couldn’t find anywhere else.
The proximity to the SkyTrain was a big draw for this family as well as being situated right on the Plaza, which “means you have access to everything, right at your doorstep.”
With 5 more sales this week 135 purchasers are now set to call 3 Civic Plaza their new cosmopolitan home. These buyers understand the one of a kind nature of the setting upon which 3 Civic Plaza rests. Now you can too.

There is Only One – 3 Civic Plaza
Buyer Profile Series #1
What does it mean to be at the centre of it all? Here’s what we heard from Dennis and Eleanor — two satisfied purchasers at 3 Civic Plaza — now proud owners of a two-bedroom residence.
“We wanted to be closer to transit, and with SkyTrain station just below us we can get to downtown Vancouver for concerts and things like that in half an hour,” says Eleanor about their decision. “It’s also right next door to the new library and walking distance to shopping at Central City.”
Having lived in Surrey since the 1950s, Dennis and Eleanor felt it was time to give up all the yard work and upkeep of their house to give condo living a try. “We loved the idea of spending time outside on the plaza instead of a backyard, plus being at Surrey Central will make getting around very convenient,” says Dennis of living in various residential neighbourhoods throughout the city. “And we were just at that time in life where downsizing made sense.”
But location isn’t the only idea that made the decision to buy an easy one. “This is the first building of its kind, and it will set the standard for the whole area in both height and quality,” says Dennis. “Others in the area are similar to one another and don’t really stand out.”
“We really liked the high quality of the design, the furnishings, and the layout,” adds Eleanor. “We needed to make modifications to the inside of the suite. Changing the washrooms to suit us was very important — we moved some cabinets and lowered the sink — and we could do that at no extra cost.”
“Plus, the building’s architecture is very well done,” pipes in Dennis. “3 Civic Plaza will be the highlight of Surrey for years to come.”
